Nishi-Nippon Railroad appoints new independent committee member

Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. has announced a change to its Independent Committee membership, established under its "Policy Against Large-Scale Acquisitions of Company Shares." Effective June 27, 2025, Osamu Nagata has been appointed as a new Independent Committee Member, succeeding Madoka Kitamura who retired after the Company's 185th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Nagata, born March 2, 1957, previously served in various senior roles at Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (currently Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC)), including Senior Vice President of Toyota Motor North America, Inc. and President & CEO of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. His term will last until the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders relating to the last fiscal year ending within three years after the conclusion of the Company's 184th Annual General Meeting held on June 27, 2024.
