Ariake Japan to dissolve China-based Rizhao Ariake subsidiary

Ariake Japan has decided to dissolve and liquidate Rizhao Ariake, established in Rizhao City, China, on November 18, 2021, following a board meeting today. The decision comes as Qingdao City withdrew a request for future removal where Qingdao Ariake Foodstuff Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, is located, meaning production capacity targets could be achieved within existing Qingdao facilities. Rizhao Ariake's net assets stood at JPY 2.044 million at the end of December 2024. Ariake Japan will continue with its investment plan, maintaining its current scale, and pursuing land brokerage for a new factory construction site within Shandong Province to increase production capacity in the long term. The impact on Ariake Japan's consolidated business performance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, is expected to be minimal.
