Nippon Ceramic discloses data breach affecting thousands

Nippon Ceramic (TSE:6929) today announced the findings of an investigation into the unauthorized access of its data server in April. The breach has compromised the personal information of approximately 37,600 individuals, including customers, shareholders, current and former employees, and job applicants. Leaked data may include names, addresses, financial details such as bank accounts, and sensitive identification numbers. Additionally, information pertaining to approximately 1,500 business partners has also been potentially exposed.
