Japan Post faces operational curbs after roll call violations

Japan Post Holdings (TSE:6178) faces operational disruptions following administrative actions against its subsidiary, Japan Post Co., Ltd., due to incidents of unperformed roll calls. Effective June 26, 2025, Japan Post Co., Ltd. is barred from using vehicles of one ton or over, affecting approximately 2,500 vehicles at 330 post offices nationwide. This follows a notification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) regarding the revocation of the company's general motor truck transportation business permit.
