UBE Corp. to receive JPY15.149bn dividend

UBE Corporation announced today that it expects to receive JPY15.149 billion in dividends from its equity-method affiliate, Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corporation. This distribution follows a resolution passed at the annual general meeting of Mitsubishi UBE Cement's shareholders. UBE Corporation expects to receive the dividends on June 30, 2025. The impact on UBE Corporation's non-consolidated financial statements for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, will reflect JPY8.183 billion as non-operating dividend income sourced from retained earnings. Additionally, the book value of affiliated company shares will be reduced by JPY6.965 billion sourced from capital surplus. The company clarifies that the dividend receipt will not affect consolidated profit or loss for the first quarter or the full fiscal year ending March 2026.
