Riken Technos to cancel 2m treasury shares

Riken Technos Corporation (TSE:4220) announced that its Board of Directors has approved the cancellation of 2,000,198 treasury shares, representing 3.8% of the total issued shares before the cancellation. The shares were acquired between March 7, 2025, and June 19, 2025, following a Board resolution on February 25, 2025. The cancellation, scheduled for June 30, 2025, aims to further strengthen shareholder returns and improve the company's capital efficiency. Following the cancellation, the total number of issued shares will be 51,274,821, and the number of treasury shares will be zero. This excludes the 828,500 shares held by Custody Bank of Japan, Ltd. (Trust E Account) as trust property under Board Benefit Trust (BBT), Stock Benefit Trust, and Employee Stock Benefit Trust (J-ESOP) programs.
