Unicharm expands in Kenya with Toyota Tsusho joint venture

Unicharm Corporation (TSE:8113) is expanding its presence in Kenya through the establishment of a new joint venture company, Sofy East Africa Limited. The decision, announced today, involves a partnership with Toyota Tsusho Corporation and its group company CFAO Kenya Limited, with Unicharm holding a 75% stake. This new entity aims to significantly increase local production and distribution of feminine care products, as well as potentially expanding into baby care and wellness products.
