MinebeaMitsumi extends tender offer for Shibaura Electronics shares

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (TSE:6479) announced an extension to its tender offer for all shares of Shibaura Electronics Co., Ltd. (Securities Code: 6957) to June 19, 2025, making the total period 33 business days. The decision was made after considering the status of tenders by Shibaura Electronics' shareholders and the prospects for further tenders. The extension aims to provide shareholders with additional time to decide whether to tender their shares in the MinebeaMitsumi offer, particularly in light of a competing tender offer from YAGEO. The Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting, at which share consolidation will be discussed, is now scheduled for around July and August 2025. The settlement start date has also been moved to June 26, 2025.
