Nikkiso Q1 profit surges despite flat revenue

Nikkiso (TSE:6376) reported a notable increase in profit for the three months ended March 31, 2025, despite revenue holding steady compared to the same period last year. Revenue edged up slightly to ¥48.314 billion, a marginal 0.1% increase year-over-year, while operating profit soared by 127.5% to ¥2.953 billion. Profit before tax decreased by 45% to ¥1.822 billion, reflecting the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations. Profit for the period attributable to owners of the company was ¥2.264 billion, a 19.9% decrease year-over-year.
