Nippon Soda announces year-end dividend proposal

Nippon Soda (TSE:4041) announced its Board of Directors has resolved to propose a year-end dividend payment at the upcoming 156th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on June 27, 2025. The proposed dividend is JPY80 per share, with a record date of March 31, 2025. If approved, the total dividend payout will amount to JPY4,413 million, payable from retained earnings with an effective date of June 30, 2025. This decision aligns with the company's progressive dividend policy and a target total return ratio of 50% or more. The dividend announcement comes after a 2-for-1 share split effective October 1, 2024, which is accounted for in the JPY80 dividend per share figure. Without considering the share split, the equivalent dividend would be JPY160 per share. For the previous fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, Nippon Soda paid a dividend of JPY120 per share (JPY240.00 annually), with a total dividend amount of JPY3,309 million.
