Nintendo sales drop but next-gen console set for 2025

Nintendo (TSE:7974) reported a decrease in both sales and profit for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, but it announced plans to launch the Nintendo Switch 2 console in June 2025. Sales totaled JPY 1,164.922 billion, down 30.3% year-over-year, with operating profit declining 46.6% to JPY 282.553 billion. Nintendo Switch hardware sales reached 10.80 million units, and software sales totaled 155.41 million units. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 278.806 billion, a 43.2% decrease.
