Coca-Cola Japan reports increased revenue, despite operating loss

Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Holdings (TSE:2579) reported a 1.7% year-over-year increase in revenue to JPY189.76B for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, driven by price revisions despite flat sales volume. Business loss improved JPY1.3B year-over-year, reaching JPY6.49B loss due to top-line growth and cost savings from transformation efforts. The company’s operating loss widened by JPY6.99B year-over-year, reaching JPY10.06B loss. Net loss attributable to owners of the parent also increased, totaling JPY6.45B loss.
