Hokkaido Electric Power revises upward full-year earnings forecast

Hokkaido Electric Power (TSE:9509) has revised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, according to an announcement released April 24, 2025. The company now expects operating revenue of JPY902 billion, a slight decrease from the previous forecast of JPY907 billion due to an anticipated decline in retail electricity sales. However, the ordinary income forecast has been significantly increased to JPY64 billion, up from the previous projection of JPY43 billion. This substantial improvement is attributed to a favorable shift in the fuel cost adjustment system, along with reduced power procurement costs and lower overall expenses resulting from the deferral of certain expenditures.
