Lintec expects loss, revises earnings forecast downward

Lintec Corporation (TSE:7966) announced it expects to record an extraordinary loss due to impairment of assets within its Fine & Specialty Paper Products Operations. This loss, estimated at JPY7.7 billion, stems from a challenging business environment characterized by sluggish orders for envelope paper and sustained increases in raw material and logistics costs. As a result, the company has revised its full-year consolidated financial results forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. While the company anticipates increased net sales of JPY316 billion, operating income of JPY24.5 billion and ordinary income of JPY25.5 billion, profit attributable to owners of the parent is expected to decrease to JPY14 billion, resulting in diluted EPS of JPY205. Despite the revised earnings forecast, Lintec does not anticipate changes to the forecasted cash dividends.
