Bank of Iwate reports unrealized losses on securities

The Bank of Iwate (TSE: 8345) today announced that unrealized losses on its held-to-maturity debt securities totaled JPY1,706 million as of the end of the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025. This resulted in a net unrealized loss on securities of JPY1,110 million. The bank's consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year was JPY6,955 million, making the unrealized loss equivalent to 24.5% of the ordinary profit. The unrealized loss represents 40.3% of the profit attributable to owners of the parent, which was JPY4,225 million. The book value of the securities subject to the calculation was JPY46,285 million, while the market value was JPY44,578 million. The bank stated that this matter will not affect its financial results forecast and that it will disclose any future developments promptly.
