House Foods to build halal curry production plant in Indonesia

House Foods Group announced plans to establish PT. House Foods Indonesia, a production subsidiary specializing in halal-certified curry roux, targeting both household and commercial use. With an investment of IDR 340.8 billion (approximately JPY 3.23 billion), House Foods Group will hold 99% and House Foods will hold 1% of the shares. The new factory, located in the Greenland International Industrial Center, aims to begin production in 2027, employing efficient and environmentally conscious manufacturing methods. The company aims to generate JPY 10 billion in sales through this venture, catering to the growing demand for Japanese-style curry in Indonesia and expanding into global halal markets.
