Metaplanet shifts funds to Bitcoin, backs redemptions with equity

Metaplanet Inc. [TSE:3350] announced a shift in its use of funds, prioritizing Bitcoin acquisitions while ensuring bond redemptions through equity-based mechanisms. According to a statement released on April 16, 2025, the company will use the proceeds from its recently issued 11th Series of Ordinary Bonds to purchase BTC. This is a shift from the original plan announced on March 31, 2025, which intended to allocate these funds towards bond redemptions.
