Hachi-Ban revises FY25 earnings forecast downward, cites extraordinary losses

Hachi-Ban announced revisions to its consolidated financial forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 2025, citing extraordinary losses and rising operational expenses. The company expects to record an extraordinary loss of JPY27 million related to impairment losses on underperforming stores. While revenue is projected to increase slightly from JPY8.2 billion to JPY8.233 billion and sales from JPY7.35 billion to JPY7.377 billion, operating profit is now expected to be JPY264 million, down from the previous forecast of JPY360 million. Similarly, recurring profit is revised down to JPY463 million from JPY540 million. Net profit attributable to shareholders is also significantly reduced, now forecasted at JPY236 million, a decrease from the earlier estimate of JPY343 million, leading to earnings per share of JPY80.49. The company attributes the downward revision to rising raw material costs and increased investments in personnel and equipment.
