Sanyodo Holdings to book JPY 180m gain from tender

Sanyodo Holdings announced that its tender offer for all of its shares in Proto Corporation (4298) was successful. The tender offer, which was initiated by Foresight on February 5, 2025, concluded on April 4, 2025. Sanyodo Holdings tendered all 95,900 shares it held in Proto Corporation at a price of JPY 2,100 per share, resulting in total proceeds of JPY 201 million. As a result, Sanyodo Holdings expects to record an investment securities sales gain of JPY 180 million as an extraordinary gain in its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year ending March 2026. The company plans to announce its full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026, incorporating this extraordinary gain, at the time of its earnings announcement on May 13, 2025.
