Olympus Corp. nominates new external director

Olympus Corporation (TSE:7733) announced the nomination of Hiroshi Ishino as an external director, subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in June 2025. Ishino's career includes leadership roles at Mitsubishi Corporation, Isuzu Philippines Corporation, and Kansai Paint Co., Ltd., where he served as President and Representative Director. He currently holds the position of Honorary Advisor at Kansai Paint and serves as an external director at Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. This nomination follows the planned retirement of current external director, Juntaka Fujita. Olympus stated that Ishino's extensive international business experience and leadership skills align with the company's strategic goals. As of September 30, 2024, Ishino did not own any shares of Olympus Corporation.
