Kyushu Electric Power announces leadership change

Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. (TSE:9508) announced upcoming leadership changes, effective after the company's 101st Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in late June 2025. Current President and Representative Director Kazuhiro Ikebe will transition to the role of Representative Director and Chairman. Masaru Nishiyama, currently Director and Managing Executive Officer, will succeed Ikebe as Representative Director and President. The current Chairman, Michiaki Uriu, will retire at the shareholder's meeting and subsequently become a Special Advisor. Ikebe joined Kyushu Electric Power in 1981, and Nishiyama joined in 1986. As of September 30, 2024, Ikebe held 109,889 shares, and Nishiyama held 34,729 shares of the company's stock.
