JTEKT appoints new representative director, Shinya, in June

JTEKT Corporation (TSE:6473) announced that Toshiaki Shinya, current Senior Executive Officer and Chief Production Officer (CPO), will become Representative Director in late June 2025. This change, approved by the Board of Directors, will be formally decided at the 125th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Shinya, a 30-year veteran of JTEKT and its predecessor company, will replace Takumi Matsumoto, who is resigning. The move is part of a board rejuvenation initiative. Shinya, a graduate of the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Nara College, has held progressively senior roles within JTEKT, including General Manager of Quality Control and Operating Officer, before his current position. He currently holds 6,663 shares of company stock.
