KDDI announces board and executive changes for June 2025

KDDI (TSE:9433) announced key executive appointments following a board meeting today. Takashi Takahashi will assume the role of Chairman, with Hirokazu Matsuda succeeding him as President. These changes are slated to take effect on April 1, 2025. The company also nominated Tomohiko Katsuki as a new director. Goro Yamaguchi, Keiji Yamamoto, Tsutomu Tanowa, Junko Okawa, Kyoko Okumiya, and Makoto Ando are nominated as external directors. Additionally, Nanase Saishoji and Hiroshi Takezawa will be promoted to Executive Officer Senior Vice President and Executive Officer Vice President, respectively, effective April 1, 2025. Takashi Tanaka will retire as director and will serve as advisor effective April 1, 2025. These appointments are subject to approval at the upcoming general shareholders meeting on June 18, 2025.
