Nissan appoints Ivan Espinosa as new CEO

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. [TSE: 7201] has appointed Ivan Espinosa as its new Representative Executive Officer and CEO, effective April 1, 2025. Espinosa, currently Chief Planning Officer, will take over from Makoto Uchida, who will remain on the board as a director. The decision was made following a proposal from the Nominating Committee. Several other executive changes were also announced, including the appointment of Guillaume Cartier to oversee global marketing and customer experience, and Akaishi Eiichi as new Chief Technology Officer. The departing Uchida will remain on the board until the General Meeting of Shareholders in June. The company says the move is part of a broader effort to transition to a new management structure and achieve long-term growth, marking a transition to a new generation of leadership.
