NGK Insulators to acquire Deutsche KNM GmbH

NGK Insulators Co. (TSE:5333) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares of Deutsche KNM GmbH, a company that holds Borsig GmbH, a manufacturer of heat exchangers and membrane systems. This strategic move will strengthen NGK's position in the European carbon-neutral market and accelerate the social implementation of separation membranes and other products. The acquisition will also benefit Borsig by contributing to NGK's proprietary sub-nano ceramic membranes. The deal is pending regulatory approvals, and has no material impact on NGK's consolidated results for the fiscal year ending March 2025. The acquisition involves acquiring 1 share from KNM Process Systems Sdn Bhd for ¥270,000 thousand Euro.
