JAL announces resignation of representative director

Japan Airlines (JAL) disclosed the resignation of Representative Director Yuji Akasaka following a resolution at a board meeting held today. Effective April 1, 2025, Mr. Akasaka will resign from his current role as Representative Director Chairman and assume the position of Chairman. The change is attributed to personnel changes within the company's executive leadership. The announcement was made by JAL's Representative Director and President, Mitsuko Tottori, and inquiries can be directed to the Finance Department, headed by Finance Director, Shuhei Nishizawa.
