Soul Patts, Pengana Capital cease as substantial SYMAL shareholders

Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company Limited (Soul Patts) and its subsidiaries, along with Pengana Capital Group Limited (PCG), announced their cessation as substantial holders in SYMAL GROUP LIMITED on 3 December 2025. The previous notice was given on 30 September 2025.

The combined voting power of Soul Patts and PCG now stands at 4.61% based on 239,144,295 SYL ordinary shares on issue. Specifically, Soul Patts holds 8,011,451 ordinary fully paid shares (3.35% voting power), and PCG holds 3,002,703 ordinary fully paid shares (1.26% voting power).

Transaction details reveal several market purchases and sales between 15 October 2025 and 3 December 2025. Key movements include the conversion of cash-settled equity swaps into 6,500,000 physical shares on 25 November 2025 for A$16,250,000. Subsequent market sales, including transactions on 1 December 2025 totaling A$(1,819,667.67) and 3 December 2025 totaling A$(1,529,611.00), contributed to the reduction in their holdings.
