Worley wins Oman refinery decarbonization project contract

Worley Limited has secured a contract with OQ Refineries and Petroleum Industries LLC (OQ RPI) to provide Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for a decarbonization project at its Sohar Refinery in Oman. The project aims to maximize heat recovery and improve the energy efficiency of the existing refinery, with Worley solely responsible for engineering services during the FEED phase. Technical services will be delivered by Worley's teams in Oman and its Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team in India.

Chris Ashton, Worley's chief executive officer, highlighted the long-standing partnership with OQ RPI, spanning over 20 years. He emphasized the project's role in supporting the energy transition, enhancing energy efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint, and ensuring compliance with evolving environmental standards.
