State street reduces stake in G8 education, impacting voting power

State Street Corporation and its subsidiaries reported a change in their substantial holding in G8 Education Limited, with their voting power decreasing from 6.31% to 5.15%. This change, effective November 24, 2025, follows a previous notice issued on October 28, 2025. The total number of votes attached to their holdings fell from 48,682,918 to 39,747,128 ordinary shares.

The alterations in relevant interests primarily involved "Lend - for stock lend" and "Transfer out" activities across numerous dates in October and November 2025. These transactions, executed by State Street Bank and Trust Company and State Street Global Advisors Trust Company, resulted in a substantial reduction in the number of ordinary shares held by State Street.

Key changes included transfers out of hundreds of thousands of ordinary shares by various State Street entities, alongside some minor transfers in, contributing to the overall decrease in their voting power.
