Electro Optic Systems expands counter-drone capabilities with new interceptor acquisition

Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (EOS) has announced the acquisition of a UK-based interceptor business from MARSS Group for an initial investment of €5.5 million. This acquisition, announced on November 19, 2025, is expected to further establish EOS as a leading counter-drone capability company, adding an agile, long-range, cost-effective, and AI-powered effector to its portfolio. Further investment of up to A$10 million is planned over the next three years for development.

The interceptor system, capable of operating up to 5km and moving at speeds up to 290km/h, is designed to integrate with existing EOS Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) and other command and control systems as a layered counter-drone solution. It targets intelligent threats with onboard imaging, infrared seekers, and AI-based guidance, aiming for low collateral damage.

This acquisition follows a new counter-drone order of $20 million, announced on November 17, 2025. EOS will hold an investor webinar on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 8:00 AM AEDT to provide further updates on the counter-drone technology landscape and these recent developments.
