Domino's Japan appoints new CEO, Asia CEO to depart

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (DPE) has appointed Dieter Haberl as the new chief executive officer for Domino's Japan, with his tenure commencing on October 20, 2025. Haberl brings over 25 years of chief executive experience in Japan, having led consumer-facing brands such as Toys R Us, Reebok, Lacoste, and Furla, with a strong background in multi-channel retail and digital sales. His previous experience also includes a decade in leadership roles with The Coca-Cola Company in Germany and Japan.

Concurrently, Josh Kilimnik, Domino's Asia CEO and acting Japan CEO, will depart the business by March 30, 2026, following a transition period. Kilimnik has dedicated over two decades to DPE and Domino's Pizza International, serving in leadership capacities across Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, Africa, and South-East Asia. His departure aligns with DPE's strategy to reduce G&A costs and regional leadership structures, empowering local markets with greater decision-making authority.

As a result of this restructuring, the roles of CEO Asia and the vacant CEO Europe will not be filled. Executive chairman Jack Cowin expressed confidence in Haberl's ability to drive the next phase of Domino's Japan's success, highlighting his track record in transformation and brand repositioning, while also thanking Kilimnik for his significant global contributions to the Domino's brand.
