Caravel Minerals appoints new general manager technical and mining

Caravel Minerals Limited (ASX: CVV) announced the appointment of Andrew O'Dowd as general manager technical and mining, effective October 27, 2025. This strategic hire is expected to bolster the company's technical capabilities as it progresses its flagship Caravel Copper Project.

O'Dowd brings over three decades of extensive mining experience, encompassing operational, technical, and leadership roles in surface mining, large-scale civil construction, and corporate environments. His expertise spans greenfield and ramp-up projects across Australia, New Zealand, and Africa, with a strong background in open-cut mining for various commodities including coal, nickel, copper, and iron ore. His proficiency extends to end-to-end supply chain management, mine planning, fleet selection, infrastructure planning, and rehabilitation initiatives.

Andrew O'Dowd will collaborate with key Caravel team members, including the recently appointed Caravel Copper Project study manager, Greg MacDonald. This collaboration aims to advance the completion of a definitive feasibility study for the Caravel Copper Project in Western Australia.
