Mercury issues new shares under dividend reinvestment plan

Mercury NZ Limited (Mercury) has released a Capital Change Notice detailing the issue of 10,427,857 ordinary shares through its dividend reinvestment plan (DRP). This issuance, effective September 30, 2025, is in relation to the FY2025 final dividend, originally announced on February 22, 2022. The shares were issued at NZD 6.684 per security and are fully paid ordinary shares.

The new shares represent a 0.74% increase in the total class of financial products, excluding any treasury stock. Following this issue, the total number of ordinary shares in circulation for Mercury stands at 1,417,393,024, with zero treasury stock. The shares rank equally with existing ordinary shares on issue.

The directors' resolution dated September 24, 2025, provided the specific authority for this capital change, pursuant to NZX Listing Rule 4.8.1. This move reflects Mercury's ongoing strategy to allow shareholders to reinvest their dividends, impacting its capital structure.
