Tuas Limited appoints Joanna Ong Joo Mien as new director

Tuas Limited has appointed Joanna Ong Joo Mien as a non-executive director, effective September 24, 2025. Ong Joo Mien, a Singapore citizen and resident, will also serve as a member of both the remuneration committee and the audit and risk committee. This appointment fills the casual vacancy left by the earlier resignation of Robert Millner.

Ong Joo Mien holds a bachelor of accountancy and a master of science, is a qualified chartered accountant of Singapore, and an accredited member of Singapore Institute of Directors. Her executive career includes roles as an audit senior, assistant vice-president (finance), and vice president of finance at listed Singaporean telecommunications and media corporations. She previously served as an independent director on Singapore Exchange-listed trusts.

The appointment bolsters Tuas Limited's commitment to corporate governance, with Ong Joo Mien contributing to the board's diversity objective of having not less than 30% of directors of each gender. Her skills and experience, particularly in telecommunications, financial acumen, and corporate governance, are expected to add significant value to the board.
