Macquarie Technology appoints David Buckingham as independent director

Macquarie Technology Group Limited (ASX: MAQ) announced the appointment of David Buckingham as an independent non-executive director, effective from September 24, 2025. Buckingham, who brings over 30 years of experience in telecommunications, media, and technology, will fill the vacancy left by long-standing director Bart Vogel.

Buckingham currently serves as a chair and non-executive director for several technology companies, including Pentanet, Hiremii, Way2VAT, and Hyprfire. He is also chair of the Perth Wildcats and a non-executive director of Football West. He holds a bachelor of technology (hons) from Loughborough University and is a qualified ACA chartered accountant and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Chairman Peter James expressed enthusiasm for Buckingham's addition, highlighting his significant skills and experience as valuable assets for the company's future growth. Buckingham conveyed his privilege to join the board and his commitment to contributing to Macquarie Technology's "exciting new phase of growth."
