Scentre Group appoints Julie Coates as non-executive director

Scentre Group today announced the appointment of Julie Coates as a non-executive director, effective October 1, 2025. Scentre Group chair Ilana Atlas AO expressed enthusiasm, highlighting Coates' diverse skills from her accomplished non-executive and executive career.

Coates' extensive background includes roles as managing director and chief executive officer of CSR Limited, and managing director (Australia and New Zealand) of Goodman Fielder Limited. Her career also features significant positions at the Woolworths Group, including managing director of Big W, chief logistics officer, and human resources director. Her experience in retail, customer experience, building materials, and consumer goods is expected to complement the board's existing expertise.

Currently, Coates serves as a non-executive director of Wesfarmers Limited and a director of the Green Building Council of Australia. She is slated to stand for election at Scentre Group's 2026 annual general meeting.
