Mitsubishi UFJ group no longer a substantial holder in Chorus

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc., along with its subsidiaries First Sentier Investors RQI Pty Ltd and First Sentier Investors (Australia) IM Ltd, ceased to be a substantial holder in Chorus Ltd on August 28, 2025. This disclosure was made on September 2, 2025.

Prior to ceasing, the group held 21,789,105.87 ordinary shares, representing 5.022% of Chorus's quoted voting products. Following a series of transactions, their holding decreased to 18,713,504.87 shares, or 4.313% of the class.

The change resulted from numerous buy and sell transactions by both First Sentier Investors entities and the Morgan Stanley group, including instances of shares borrowed, returned, and rehypothecated. For example, on August 14, 2025, First Sentier Investors (Australia) IM Ltd sold 107,396 shares for NZD 984,326.96, while on July 22, 2025, First Sentier Investors RQI Pty Ltd bought 39,066 shares for NZD 329,712.74. Morgan Stanley Australia Securities Limited also executed various buy and sell transactions throughout July and August 2025, contributing to the overall change in the substantial holding.
