AustralianSuper pares stake in Sandfire Resources

AustralianSuper has decreased its substantial holding in Sandfire Resources Limited, with its voting power falling from 14.74% to 13.66%. The change was noted on 29 August 2025, with the previous notice given on 21 December 2022. The total number of votes held by AustralianSuper now stands at 62,714,520, down from 67,356,714.

The notice details numerous transactions, including both acquisitions and disposals of ordinary shares through JPMorgan Nominees Australia Ltd. Notable transactions include a retail entitlement offer on 15 December 2022, which saw AustralianSuper acquire 64,114 shares at AUD 4.30. Subsequent large sell-offs included 435,181 shares on 14 May 2024, 376,671 shares on 15 May 2024, and 367,311 shares on 9 April 2024.

The latest reported transactions on 29 August 2025 show a sale of 374,347 ordinary shares at AUD 12.51. These movements reflect a strategic reduction in AustralianSuper's exposure to Sandfire Resources Limited over the reporting period.
