CGN Power starts Lufeng 2 construction, adjusts Huizhou 1 and 2 timelines

CGN Power, through its subsidiary CGN Lufeng Nuclear Power Co., announced that Lufeng unit 2 commenced full-scale construction on December 22, 2025, with the first concrete pouring for the reactor building. This 1,245 MW unit marks a new phase in its development.

Separately, the company provided an update on the Huizhou 1 and 2 units, which began full construction in December 2019 and October 2020, respectively, utilizing Hualong One technology.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, Huizhou unit 1 is now expected to commence operations in the first half of 2026, with Huizhou unit 2 following in the second half of 2026. Both units are currently in the commissioning phase.
