Guodian Changyuan's Hanchuan unit 7 begins commercial operation

Guodian Changyuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. announced that unit 7 of its Guoneng Changyuan Hanchuan phase IV 2x1000 MW expansion project has officially commenced commercial operation. The 1 million-kilowatt unit successfully completed 168 hours of full-load trial operation, marking a significant milestone for the company.

The Hanchuan phase IV project, with a total investment of CNY 2,203,560,000 from Guodian Changyuan's wholly-owned subsidiary, aims to optimize the company's coal-fired power industry structure and advance the development of clean, efficient, and environmentally friendly coal-fired power projects. This project utilizes advanced ultra-supercritical secondary reheat technology, ensuring high technical standards and reliability.

The successful commercial operation of unit 7 will increase the company's proportion of large-capacity, high-parameter coal-fired power units, enhancing its competitive edge in the market. Guodian Changyuan Hanchuan will now focus on project closeout, settlement, special acceptance, and compliance production.
