Huachangda forms strategic AI, robotics partnership with Shanghai institutions

Huachangda Intelligent Equipment Group has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Shanghai Jiao Tong University Shanghai Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing and Shanghai Intelligent Manufacturing Function Platform Co., Ltd. This collaboration aims to integrate industry, academia, and research to tackle critical technological challenges in robotics, embodied intelligence, and industrial software, fostering talent development and driving technology commercialization. The agreement positions Huachangda as a key partner for the commercialization of research outcomes from the two institutions, prioritizing joint efforts for technology transfer, licensing, industrialization, and commercialization within Huachangda's global projects.

The partnership will focus on joint research and development in areas such as digital simulation for embodied intelligent robots in industrial settings, comprehensive robot application solutions, and new-generation industrial robot control technology. It also includes plans for co-building research platforms, collaborative tackling of major national and provincial research projects, and talent cultivation through student internships, joint degree programs, and personnel exchanges.

The framework agreement is effective for three years and does not involve specific monetary amounts, related-party transactions, or significant asset restructuring, thus not requiring approval from the company's board of directors or shareholders. Huachangda previously signed a similar strategic framework agreement with HGTECH in April 2023.
