Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes expands into new sectors, acquires steel firm

Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes has announced an expansion of its business scope to include battery manufacturing and sales, energy storage technology services, and non-ferrous metal alloy sales. These changes, along with revisions to the company's Articles of Association, aim to enhance corporate governance and align with business development needs, as approved by the board on December 9-10, 2025.

In a related move, Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes' wholly-owned subsidiary will acquire 100% equity in Jiangyin Huaran Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for 1,244,013,660.01 yuan. This acquisition, approved by the board, is intended to optimize the company's steel product structure, accelerate the transition to specialized steel production, and enhance overall market competitiveness.

The acquisition is expected to add approximately 38 million yuan to net profit, excluding transitional period gains and losses. Both the business scope expansion and the acquisition reflect a concerted effort by Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes to diversify its operations and strengthen its core business segments.
