CGN Power appoints new president, adjusts board committees

CGN Power Co., Ltd. announced the retirement of Mr. Gao Ligang from his roles as director, president, and various committee positions due to reaching statutory retirement age, effective December 11, 2025. Concurrently, the board of directors approved the appointment of Mr. Pang Songtao as the new president, with his term running from December 11, 2025, to December 31, 2027. Mr. Pang Songtao, born in 1971, previously served as a non-executive director since October 2023 and has extensive experience in the nuclear power industry.

In addition to the presidential appointment, the company approved amendments to its senior management personnel 2025 annual remuneration plan and adjusted its H-share authorized representative, appointing Mr. Pang Songtao to this role. The board also approved Mr. Pang Songtao's appointment to the fourth session of the board of directors' nuclear safety committee, which now comprises Mr. Yang Changli, Mr. Pang Songtao, Mr. Feng Jian, Mr. Liu Huanbing, and independent director Mr. Li Fuyou.

These decisions were made during the fourth session of the board of directors' seventeenth meeting, held on December 11, 2025. All resolutions, including the appointment of Mr. Pang Songtao as president, were passed unanimously with 8 votes in favor. Mr. Gao Ligang confirmed no disagreements with the board and that his departure would not affect the company’s normal operations.
