Shenzhen airport reports strong november passenger, cargo growth

Shenzhen Airport reported strong performance for November 2025, with passenger throughput reaching 568.93 million people, an 8.77% increase compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date, total passenger volume hit 6,062.65 million, up 8.02%. International routes saw a notable surge, with monthly passenger numbers rising by 22.14% to 50.18 million. Domestic routes also contributed significantly, handling 513.98 million passengers for the month, a 7.50% year-on-year increase.

Cargo and mail throughput for November stood at 18.67 million tons, showing a slight 0.20% increase, while year-to-date volume grew by 9.90% to 186.66 million tons. International cargo routes demonstrated strong growth, with a 11.59% year-to-date increase, reaching 90.35 million tons. Aircraft movements also expanded, with 37,868 take-offs and landings in November, a 3.42% rise.

Domestic flights accounted for the majority of aircraft movements, totaling 32,330 in November, up 2.43% year-on-year. International flight movements showed particularly strong growth, increasing by 9.59% in November to 5,198 movements, and by 18.02% year-to-date, reaching 54,306 movements. The company noted that these figures are preliminary and based on internal statistics, intended for investor reference.
