Beingmate sues Heihe Fengyou over collapsed patent licensing deal

Beingmate Co., Ltd. has filed a lawsuit with the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court against Heihe Fengyou Bast Fiber Planting Co., Ltd. concerning a patent contract dispute. Beingmate is seeking 50,000,000.00 yuan in principal and 6,852,397.26 yuan in interest, totaling 56,852,397.26 yuan. The lawsuit, filed on December 6, 2025, is in the "受理阶段" and has not yet gone to trial.

The dispute stems from agreements signed in November 2021 and January 2022, under which Beingmate paid an advance patent license fee of 50,000,000.00 yuan. Beingmate alleges that Heihe Fengyou failed to provide necessary authorization, formal license agreements, technical materials, and guidance, preventing the practical use of the patents. Beingmate also claims Heihe Fengyou refused to provide technical information, citing trade secrets, making regulatory approvals impossible and rendering the contract's purpose unachievable.

Beingmate is requesting the court to terminate the agreements, order Heihe Fengyou to refund the principal and interest, and bear all litigation costs. The company noted that the outcome and impact on current and future profits are uncertain due to the early stage of the proceedings.
