Jinggong Technology's recycling project achieves trial production milestone

Zhejiang Jinggong Science & Technology (Jinggong Technology) has announced the successful trial production and delivery of the main process equipment for the JPET50 polyester recycling production line. This is part of Zhejiang Jianxin Jiaren New Material Co., Ltd.'s annual 150,000-tonne green recycled new material project. The project’s first phase, a 50,000-tonne main process unit, reached this milestone after nearly two years of effort. Jinggong Technology has received 255,970,000 yuan in contract payments for the project.

The production line utilizes "chemical method polyester recycling" technology to depolymerize waste into 99.99% pure DMT products, with a portion converted into recycled PET chips. This process reduces reliance on petroleum resources, aligning with national "dual carbon" goals.

The contract, initially estimated at 320,000,000 yuan (including tax), is still subject to final valuation upon project completion. While the successful trial operation is a positive step, the company notes that the production line is still in its early stages of trial production, and stability, yield, and quality will require further adjustments. Full production capacity and economic benefits will take time to achieve.
