Hubei Energy sees November power generation decline, thermal output drops

Hubei Energy Group Co., Ltd. announced a 17.94% year-on-year decrease in total power generation for November 2025, reaching 2.617 billion kilowatt-hours. This decline was primarily driven by a 46.20% reduction in thermal power generation. Hydropower, however, saw a substantial increase of 153.21%, while new energy generation experienced a slight dip of 0.55% during the month.

For the year-to-date, Hubei Energy's cumulative power generation stood at 39.104 billion kilowatt-hours, marking a 2.15% decrease compared to the previous year. Hydropower generation increased by 1.38% year-on-year, while thermal power generation decreased by 11.24%. New energy generation showed strong growth, rising by 26.83% year-on-year, with solar power generation increasing by 46.35% and wind power declining by 11.24% year-to-date.

The company noted that these figures are preliminary and monthly variations can occur due to factors such as weather, water conditions, seasonal influences, and equipment maintenance. Investors are cautioned against using these provisional figures to directly project company performance.
