CATL shareholder reduces stake via inquiry transfer, raising CNY 17bn

Contemporary Amperex Technology announced that shareholder Mr. Huang Shilin completed an inquiry transfer of 45,632,363 shares, representing 1.00% of the company's total share capital. The transfer price was CNY 376.12 per share, totaling CNY 17,163,244,371.56. Following this transaction, Mr. Huang Shilin and his concerted parties' shareholding decreased from 10.29% to 9.29%.

This non-public transfer involved 16 institutional investors, with UBS AG receiving the largest allocation of 11,990,000 shares (0.26% of total capital) for CNY 4,509,678,800.00. The transaction, executed on November 24, 2025, aligns with Mr. Huang's personal funding needs and complies with regulatory requirements for inquiry transfers.

The transfer does not affect the company's controlling shareholder or actual controller, maintaining stability in corporate governance. China International Capital Corporation Limited acted as the organizing broker.
