Batian's Xiaogaozhai phosphate mine expansion gets safety approval

Shenzhen Batian Ecotypic Engineering Co., Ltd. (Batian) announced its wholly-owned subsidiary received approval for the safety facility design of its Xiaogaozhai phosphate mine expansion project. The approval, issued by the Guizhou Provincial Emergency Management Department on November 21, 2025, allows the mine's annual production capacity to increase from 2 million tons to 2.9 million tons.

The expansion project, initially submitted for safety facility design review on July 3, 2025, is a significant step for Batian. This increase in permitted extraction scale is expected to enhance the company's phosphate output and optimize its upstream and downstream industries, furthering its integrated phosphate chemical strategy.

Batian acquired the mining rights for the Xiaogaozhai phosphate mine in Wengan County, Guizhou Province, on April 25, 2014. The current safety production permit, issued on February 10, 2025, covers an exploitation scale of 2 million tons per year. The expanded capacity aims to improve the overall value chain, including refined phosphate concentrate, high-purity phosphoric acid (salt), and new energy battery materials, maximizing the efficient utilization of phosphate resources.
