Huafeng chemical expands spandex capacity with new lines online

Huafeng Chemical Co., Ltd. announced ongoing progress for its 250,000-ton differential spandex expansion project. This project, primarily managed by its subsidiary Huafeng Chongqing Spandex Co., Ltd., saw 100,000 tons of capacity begin operations in 2024. An additional 75,000 tons of capacity have also recently been completed and started operations.

The remaining 75,000 tons of capacity are currently under construction and are expected to be fully operational by December 2026. This expansion uses new equipment, processes, and technologies to boost production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality and stability, thereby strengthening the company's overall competitiveness and market share.

Huafeng Chemical highlighted its leading research and development, production, and technical service capabilities within the spandex industry, supported by proprietary intellectual property. However, the company also cautioned about potential risks to project economic benefits, citing possible fluctuations in spandex product market prices and demand influenced by national industry policies, economic cycles, and market supply-demand dynamics.
